The Roadmap To Your True Nature: What is Human Design?

Rooted in science and spirituality, Human Design is a system that decodes ancient teachings to give each and every one of us a personalised blueprint.

This blueprint gifts you a new template for moving through the world by showing you how to optimise your energy, heed your intuition, make aligned decisions, and cultivate connection.

It decommissions you from living a life that doesn’t feel like yours by giving you actionable and practical tools to implement now. No smoke and mirrors in this house.

How will it help me?

Living your unique design helps you be in the world without resistance, to feel safe to say ‘yes’ or ‘no’ and to live a life that’s true to you with confidence and without hesitation.

By living your design, you are in your true purpose.

Meet Your Chart, Meet Yourself.

Looking at your Human Design Life Chart equates to looking at the very core of your being, your unique soul blueprint, or genetic code.

This Chart, with it’s colours, shapes, lines, symbols and numbers, shows all of the intricate mechanics that make up your true nature.

Ancient Wisdom, Modern Pragmatism.

Like your astrology natal chart, the Human Design Life Chart is based on the date, time and place of your birth. This calculation is then combined with three other important spiritual systems; the Hindu Chakra System (the shapes in your chart, also known as the 9 centres), the Chinese I Ching (the 64 gates, the numbers that sit inside the centres) and the Kabbalah ‘Tree of Life’ (the 36 channels, the lines that link the gates and centres together).
This combination makes up your Life Chart.

The Life Chart is here to illustrate the following:

Pinpoints your true purpose; the thing that lights you up like noone else.

Identifies the type of people you gel with and the environments that bring out the best in you.

Reveals your personality traits, strengths, weaknesses, abilities, dynamics and built-in chemistry.

Reminds you of the needs and feelings you’re either celebrating or resisting.

Explains how you can make decisions that foster happiness and fulfilment.

Human Design Life Chart – Generator with Sacral Authority

These are the key terms used when describing your Life Chart. Getting familiar with these and how they apply to your design will help you  integrate your chart with more clarity and confidence.

  • Human Design recognises five different types of person. These types are called the Energy Types. There is the Manifestor, Generator, Manifesting Generator, Projector and Reflector. Your Energy Type identifies who you are and the way you exchange your energy with the world. It is also the way you manifest potentials into reality.

  • Your Strategy helps align you to your true nature. It also draws awareness to the resistance in your life by showing you how it feels to live outside of your strategy. By using your correct Strategy, you will naturally start to eliminate what no longer serves you, leading you to a life that feels radically authentic.

  • Your Authority is the driver that helps steer you towards a more careful decision-making process. It is the part of your chart that you should be listening to for guidance. It’s your inner GPS. It can be the emotions, the gut, the heart, the spleen, the g centre, or the mind. Some of us have no ‘authority’ at all - we’re all different. If you can experiment with one thing in Human Design, experiment with putting trust in your Authority. You will be amazed by how much better you will feel. Like all good things, it takes practice. My tip: start today.

  • Each Energy Type has a specific Signature. It is a tell-tale sign, a feeling that you cannot explain. It is like an inner gage or knowing that presents itself when you are living according to your Energy Type, Strategy and Authority. Examples of a signature include: success, peace, harmony, or freedom.

  • On the flip side, that same inner guage or inner knowing can work in reverse, and that is called your Not-Self Theme. It’s your HD red flag. It is a feeling you experience when you are not living your design - whether that’s thoughts, beliefs or actions. The Not-Self Theme helps to indicate when you are not in flow with life and will often manifest as a form of resistance or a feeling of stuckness.

  • Think of your profile as your archetype. It is the last piece of the puzzle and is a fundamental part of your true nature, alongside your Type and Authority. There are 12 archetypes, and each one tells of the way others see you, the way you see yourself, your path to wisdom, the way you interact with others and the way you show up in life. Examples of a profile include the Experimenter, the Investigator and the Role Model.

  • How many ‘teams’ your energy centres are split into, which affects the way you process life, feelings and thoughts. It also can tell us how much room there is in your life energetically for other people and the outside world in general. We’re all wired differently and all have unique energy needs.

  • Your Incarnation Cross is the theme of your life. It is the key to understanding what you’re here to learn, share and leave behind. There are almost 600 of these and each one covers a different gift contained within humanity.
